Computer simulation for investigating the half-value layer (ref. 15 , 16)

Investigation on the behavior of radiographic systems half-value layer in the whole field by a computer simulation procedure. It takes into account the heel effect, the radiation spectrum behavior for Mo and W tubes, and also the field characteristics. The procedure allows to know the beam energy quality variations in the whole radiation field.
