Clustered microcalcifications detection in digitized mammograms

Clustered microcalcifications detection in digitized mammograms (v. ref. 15 , 18 , 24)

Development of a computerized scheme designed to automatic detection of clustered microcalcifications in digitized mammographic images. The procedure is based on the "área-point transformation" and it uses processing techniques addressed to regions of interest (ROIs) semi-automatic selection in order to reduce the processing time. Tests with two different images sets resulted in 92% of average efficacy in the true positive rates.
