Many radiologists really use CAD schemes worldwide as an aid in interpretation when familiar with the technique. However, we could note that many other specialists are reluctant in using this technology. Some of them because consider that it presents a big set of information as analysis result; other, in opposite way, because it only focuses in marking single findings (only as detection aid). Particularly, in Brazil, there is no application in practice of any commercial CAD scheme, due to several reasons, not only regarding the costs, but also questions like confidence, little information on the case analysis and time expended, among others. Looking for overcome some of these concerns, we are working on the development of a CADx scheme, under tests with some radiologists for evaluating the effect of its result in their behavior and performance. Its main characteristic is to be a complementary information system for the medical report. In this work the aim is a evaluation of one module of such a scheme: the classification of segmented nodules contours given by the automated classifier module is compared to radiologists reports with purposes of investigating how these results influence their performance. In addition, the computer system performance is also checked compared to a reference information of each processed image.
