Principais pesquisas desenvolvidas:1. Quality evaluation of X-ray beams in mammography units by development of devices for kVp investigation.2. Evaluation of radiological systems based on transfer functions simulation. 3. Computer-aided scheme for detection of clustered microcalcifications in digital mammograms. 4. Digital electronic device for evaluation of operational parameters in diagnostic radiology equipment. 5. Methodology for digitized mammography images processing to detect microcalcifications in young and/or dense breasts. 6. Development of a prototype of a computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) scheme in mammography. 7. Development of a database of mammographic images for supportng images processing techniques tests. | |
Principais projetos de pesquisa atualmente em desenvolvimento:1. Development of a computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) scheme in mammography associated to extense image quality evaluation programs - standardization and clinical evaluation.2. Development and implementation of a mammography images database for working on line in the Internet designed for processing images schemes tests. 3. Studies in imaging, quality evaluation, digitization, processing and reconstruction of images in te field of digital mammography. 4. Development of breast phantoms and X-ray exposure tests for creation of images database addressed to tests of CAD schemes. 5. Computerized instrumentation for evaluation of radiological systems quality parameters. 6. Quality evaluation and radiological image processing in odontology. | |
